PICKLEBALL
Pickleball is one of the world's fastest growing sports. Incorporating aspects of tennis, badminton and table tennis it is easy to learn and suitable for a wide range of ages and skill levels.
MainPower Stadium is the home of Pickleball in North Canterbury, with social and competitive formats at MainPower Stadium running now.
We'll supply all the gear - we just need the players!

WEEKLY SESSIONS - $7 per person each session

REGULAR OPEN REC SESSION TIMES:
Unless stated otherwise all our Open Rec Sessions cater for players of all ages, skill levels, experience and abilities. Sessions will be run with a combination of general and graded mixing up of players. New players will be coached separately until deemed ready to join the main group. We encourage all our more experienced players to be supportive and encouraging of new players to create a great playing experience for everyone.

All equipment is provided. During these sessions we will play mostly doubles (depending on numbers) and will mix people up so they are playing with and against different people throughout the session.
Some coaching and rules instruction will be provided if required.
​
Please note that while Pickleball can be suitable for all ages and attracts many older players, it is important players have a suitable level of mobility and balance to avoid falls and injury.

If you are interested in giving Pickleball a try at other times we have courts and equipment available to hire. Cost is $7 per player for 60 minutes or $10 per player for 90 minutes. Equipment costs are included.

Our Pickleball Academy for Year 7-10 students starts up again on Wednesday 12th February 2025. Note the new time of 6-7pm which will allow the students to play 30 minutes at the end with adults and other kids during the Open Rec session.
If you have kids, or know any kids, the right age who are interested in giving Pickleball a go then sign them up for this introductory programme to our new favourite sport.
Parents and siblings are also welcome to come along and have their own hit with the other people at the Open Rec session.

Pickleball
lunchtime league
Join our fun and competitive Lunchtime Pickleball League.
All you need to do is find a partner and sign up - we'll supply all equipment. Some Pickleball experience is required but all skill levels are catered for.

When: Thursdays 12-1pm / 8-9 week competition through the school Term
